With lifestyle photography, my goal is to capture the beauty of your growing family and keep it real and cozy!

Unlike traditional posed newborn photography, my lifestyle approach is about capturing real life moments and genuine expressions. While we’ll certainly get those adorable posed shots for your announcement cards, the heart of our session lies in documenting the new connection between baby and family. I’m all about catching those “OMG we made a human” moments. Or capturing when your baby makes that adorable milk-drunk face. These are the pics that’ll make you ugly-cry (in the best way) years from now.
Planning Your Session
Get in touch while you’re still rocking that baby bump! That way, I can block out time around your due date (because let’s face it, babies come when they want to). Once you’ve settled in at home with your baby, we can find the perfect time that works with your new routine. Most parents opt for before the 6-8 week mark, but hey, your baby, your rules!
What to Expect During Your Session
When I arrive at your home (don’t worry, I’ll always take my shoes off!), I’ll scout out the best natural light. Your home doesn’t need to be perfect – just clear a little clutter if you’d like, but remember, this is about capturing real life with a newborn! We’ll keep things calm and relaxed, and if your baby needs a snack break or cuddle session, that’s what we’ll do.
Preparing for Your Session
For Your Baby – the MVP
- Try to feed right before our session starts (but don’t worry, we can pause for feeding anytime!)
- Keep the house warm and cozy for those delicate costume changes
- Think comfy clothes that don’t leave marks on their squishy bits

Siblings
Big siblings are VIPs in my book! I understand this is a big transition, so I’ll make sure they feel just as important as the new baby. Whether they’re all in or need time to warm up, we’ll follow their lead. (Fun fact: I speak fluent “kid” thanks to my special ed background!)
Family Pets
Want to include your furry family members? I love it! Just give them a good walk before our session to help them stay calm.
Grandparents
Grandparent photos are always welcome for some multi-generational magic! We’ll just need a full two hours to capture all that family goodness – no rushing these special generational shots!
